On this day a year ago, seven miles from my door, a tragedy unfolded that none will soon forget. I remember the anger, the sadness and the tears shed that day and for many days after. I remember when my own children got off their bus and the overwhelmingly powerful emotions of being able to hug and hold them. It happened so close to home, but this could have been at any school in any town or city.
